Heading north from East Runton you come into Sheringham, a classic seaside market town with a street market in the car park twice a week on a Wednesday and Saturday. It is also home to the famous Poppy Line Steam Railway carrying both tourists and locals between Sheringham and Holt a few miles away.
Sheringham has an old fashioned high street with a mass of privately owned shops selling everything from bric-a-brac to second hand books as well as hardware, wet fish, a sprinkling of cafés and coffee shops and restaurants, and further down the high street you will come across the amusement arcades, ice cream parlours, pubs and the sea front with the Mo museum and the sea wall with the story of the fishermen in Sheringham from years gone by.
It boasts a long promenade to walk along - take advantage of the seating to sit and eat your ice cream and watch the sea rolling in and world passing by.
Sheringham also has a main line train station.
